Dicey, stressful workplace problems take their toll on employers and employees. Lisa Fried-Grodin has devoted her legal career to helping clients deal with these issues every day.
Lisa is a co-founder and partner of Meyers Fried-Grodin LLP, an employment law firm serving employers and employees in New Jersey and New York. Her representation of employees and employers gives her an understanding of the motivations, strategies and tactics used by both sides in problem-solving, negotiation and litigation. This gives her a unique perspective when representing clients and acting as an employment law mediator.
She has a passion for giving employees who have experienced discrimination, harassment and retaliation a voice and an action plan, and for guiding small to mid-size growing businesses on the right path.
Lisa represents clients in lawsuits and non-litigation matters regarding employee discipline, wrongful termination, sexual harassment, discrimination, sick and family leave, whistleblower claims, contract disputes, and wage and hour issues including overtime. She also drafts and advises on employee handbooks, separation agreements, noncompetes and other employment contracts, and conducts employment investigations.
Ms. Fried-Grodin has lectured at the Morris County Chamber of Commerce, Morris Essex Small Firm Networking Group, and New Jersey Institute of Continuing Legal Education’s Corporate Counsel Institute and Business Law Symposium, and has written articles on a variety of employment law issues that have appeared in her law firm’s blog, New Jersey Law Journal, New York Law Journal and Employment Law 360.
