James D. Miller focuses on bankruptcy, employment and business litigation as well as small business formations and start-ups.
Mr. Miller earned a B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, San Diego, and his law degree from the University of San Diego School of Law. Mr. Miller served as a San Diego Law Review member ranking in the top 2% of his class.
Directly after graduating, Mr. Miller worked with a prominent, national law firm representing large corporations and high profile tech companies in both venture capital and IPO financing, as well as defending employment class action litigation claims.
After the tech crash in the early 2000’s, Mr. Miller shifted his focus into business, employment and real estate litigation as well bankruptcy. Mr. Miller has tried several and bench jury trials over his career.
Mr. Miller currently represents companies and individuals in Chapter 7 and 13 bankruptcies, as well as successfully litigating business and civil litigation cases including employment class action cases.
Mr. Miller has over 20 years of legal experience and has also owned and operated several businesses.
